PSALMS of LAUDS (Morning Prayer)

Beginning in March 2001, Pope John Paul II began a catechesis during his Wednesday audiences on the psalms and canticles from Lauds (Morning Prayer) and then Vespers (Evening Prayer) of the Liturgy of the Hours. Pope Benedict XVI took up this task from his beloved predecessor in May 2005, completing the catechesis in 2006 with his discussion of the Magnificat. Below you will find links to each of the reflections on the psalms from Lauds for all four weeks of the psalter. Also included are links to Pope John Paul's introductory lessons and final reflection on the Benedictus.
