PSALM 1 |
|
|
|
1 Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, |
Beatus uir qui non abiit in consilio impiorum. |
nor stood in the way of sinners, |
Et in uia peccatorum non stetit. |
nor sat in the chair of scorners. |
Et in cathedra derisorum non sedit. |
2 But his will is in the law of the Lord, |
Sed in lege domini uoluntas eius. |
and on his law he will meditate day and night. |
Et in lege eius meditabitur die ac nocte. |
3 And he will be like a tree planted near running waters, |
Et erit tamquam lignum transplantatum iuxta riuulos aquarum. |
which shall bear its fruit in its time |
Quod fructum suum dabit in tempore suo. |
4 And his leaf will not fall. |
Et folium eius non defluet. |
and all that he does will prosper |
Et omne quod fecerit prosperabitur. |
|
|
