RAISED IN
Tucson, Arizona, Fr. Carlos attended St. John's Seminary College in Camarillo, California,
and received his bachelor's degree in 1995. He then returned to Arizona and
worked in St. Anthony's parish in Tucson.
In the spring of 1996 Fr. Carlos arrived as an observer at St. Andrew's Abbey. He studied theology at Mount Angel Abbey Seminary in Oregon and professed solemn vows at Saint Andrew’s Abbey on July 11, 2001. He was ordained to the priesthood on July 13, 2002.
